“Young Man, what is your goal in life?”(Kusaka). A young boy named George was asked that question by his father when he was a freshman in high school. Up to this point, George’s life was mostly based upon sports specially basketball and friends. Growing up George wanted to be everything. He wanted to be a superhero, a firefighter, a professional athlete, etc. But it wasn’t until his father had woke him up on a sunny Saturday and asked him what he always thought was something he never would of needed to answer. But at that very moment George knew what his final answer was and that is being a professional basketball in the NBA. His father wasn’t surprised at all to hear his answer, because his father always knew that was what his son was meant to be. From watching his son wake up every weekend and head straight to the gym to play basketball and everyday after school all George wanted to do was go to the gym. And so that was what George set out to do for the rest of his life. Working day in and day out to be the best basketball player he can be. By not letting anyone get in his way and proving all his doubters wrong. All his life George just wanted to do what he loves and now he does because after his freshman year in college he declared for the NBA draft and with the #1 overall pick the Los Angeles Lakers selected George Anderson from Kentucky University.
